If you are on the route towards Calais in the coming days, please be aware that roadworks on the A216 will disrupt traffic until October 7th.

Roadworks are being carried out on the A216 towards the port of Calais until Saturday October 3rd. One lane approximately 1.3 km long is closed between the junctions with the A16 (Dunkirk) and A26 (Reims).

Vehicles are being directed to the A16 motorway diversion (towards junction no. 48 Marck Ouest / Transmarck), where drivers will need to make a U-turn to access the port at junction n° 47 in the direction Dunkirk-Boulogne.

In addition, on the RN216 after entering junction 2 (Calais / ZI des Dunes / Oye-Plage), one lane shall be closed for approximately 2.4 km. The speed is to be limited to 50 and 80 km/h at different points and overtaking is prohibited.

The second phase of the renovation will then start on Monday October 5th at 8pm, lasting until October 7th at 7 am. During this time, the A216 will be closed and vehicles will have to leave the highway at junction 3 (Calais-center / ZA Marcel Doret).
