On Monday, Dresden police officers stopped a „limping” truck and found the reason for its unnatural movement; the vehicle was missing a complete wheel. However, roadworthiness was not the only problem with the lorry.

At around 10 o’clock on Monday morning, German police officers spotted a DAF semi-trailer travelling on the federal A4 highway that looked as if it had some balance problems.

Officers stopped the vehicle and checked it carefully. However, the reason for its imbalance was found easily; the lorry was missing a complete wheel! It is presumed the wheel was ripped off the truck, according to reports.

In addition, the evaluation of the tachograph showed that the 31-year-old driver had exceeded the speed limit several times and didn’t take rest periods required by the driver’s hours’ regulations.

The driver was forbidden to continue his journey and was levied a security deposit of 2,100 euros for his future fine.
