Lightning struck a lorry in Sweden just after its driver had stepped out of the vehicle. The trucker was in state of shock following the incident and was taken to hospital.
The lightning strike occurred on Monday afternoon in a parking lot in Tranås, Sweden, according to local media outlet Tranås Tidning.
An eyewitnesses told the paper that the driver of the truck had just got out of the cab when it was struck by lightning. He was still holding the door with one hand when the lightning struck.
The local paper quotes site manager Kenneth Magnusson, who said the man’s left arm was blue from the wrist up to the elbow.
The man was understandably shocked by the incident and was taken to hospital to allow him to recover.
