A lorry driver who inadvertently locked himself in his refrigerated trailer was rescued by Police officers in Germany’s Bavaria region on Saturday.
According to spiegel.de, the driver went in to the trailer to fix a fault, but a strong gust of wind slammed the door shut and trapped him inside.
Fortunately the trucker was in possession of his phone at the time, so was able to call the emergency services for help.
The police answered the call and helped the driver out of the cold trailer; officers say the trucker was able to continue his journey again after warming up.
On the same day, road police in the Bavaria region also arrested a truck driver whose vehicle was spotted stationary on the side of the motorway after running out of fuel.
It turns out that the driver had an arrest warrant placed against him, and he was promptly taken to jail.
The truck ended up being towed away from the motorway as the breakdown mechanics couldn’t get it started up again.
