Slovenia: overtaking ban for lorries on all motorways from November

The minister announced the decision on Twitter:

An overtaking ban for lorries has been in place since January 15th on the busiest A1 motorway during the day (from 6 am to 6 pm). Lorries are allowed to overtake at night and can also overtake on sections where there are three lanes.

In some parts of the entire motorway network, regulations already state that lorries should not overtake during peak hours in the morning and afternoon. Also, lorries are always prohibited from overtaking in tunnels as well as on some city bypasses.

Violations are monitored by the police; the fine is EUR 300.
