How are Volvo trucks made? Check out this Belgian factory which is one of the largest of its kind in the world.
The Volvo factory located near Ghent is one of the most extensive facilities in the world where tractor units are mounted. Two hundred trucks leave the factory daily, and 42,000 are produced annually. These numbers might be stunning, but they are more impressive if you note the fact that each tractor manufactured here is unique: every truck leaving this factory is different.
Each of them is unique because all copies are adapted to the particular requirements and expectations of their Western European customers. Interestingly, although production on such a large scale requires enormous energy, the facility is carbon neutral.
In the documentary, you can see what stages of production a vehicle must go through before someone can sit behind its wheel.
