On 3 December 2024, the Commission announced its clearance of the acquisition of sole control of Dutch-based EST Europe Holdings B.V. (EST) by Sennder Technologies.

According to a joint announcement by the companies at the end of July, the EST division represents the European overland transport operations of C.H. Robinson, an American logistics group.

The Commission concluded that the transaction would not raise competition concerns, as the combined market position of the parties would remain limited. The review of the deal was conducted under the simplified merger control procedure.

Through this acquisition, Sennder plans to significantly expand its transport capacity in Europe and increase its annual turnover to approximately EUR 1.4 billion—essentially doubling its current revenue. Based on known figures, Sennder’s workforce is also set to grow from around 1,000 employees to approximately 1,700 across Europe.
