Belarusian trucker caught trying to enter Poland in HGV that had been stolen there

On Tuesday, November 22nd, a Belarussian lorry driver was caught trying to cross the border into Poland using an HGV that had been stolen in the same country.

The Mercedes Actros HGV was checked at the Kukuryki border crossing near the Belarusian city of Brest.

During the inspection, border guards found that the truck had been registered as stolen in Poland.

The vehicle’s value is estimated at around €20,000.

The driver, a 30-year-old citizen of Belarus, was arrested by the border guards and the investigation into the case has already begun.
