Due to the ongoing protest of Polish carriers, the publication of waiting times for clearance at the border crossings in Dorohusk, Hrebenne and Korczowa on the website of the Polish Tax Administration and Border Guard has been suspended.

The protest takes place outside the border crossings. The waiting time for the trucks in the queue does not depend on the border services, and cannot be estimated,” says the relevant government portal granica.gov.pl.

Meanwhile, the trucks are stuck in huge traffic jams. The situation is worst near Dorohusk.

Currently (the morning of December 27th) there are 1,400 trucks waiting in line at the Dorohusk border crossing, Commissioner Marzena Siemieniuk from the Chamber of Tax Administration in Lublin told trans.iNFO.

Yesterday the queue was “about 40 kilometers long and reached the village of Marynin in the municipality of Siedliszcze,” reports Polish news portal tvn24.pl.

The protests are taking place near the border crossing, with protest participants obstructing the passage of vehicles heading to Ukraine. TVN24 reports that following the recent intensification of protests, “one vehicle every three hours” will now be allowed through.

At the border itself, processing runs smoothly because only individual vehicles arrive at the crossing,” explains Commissioner Marzena Siemieniuk.

The situation is similar in Hrebenne. There are almost 650 trucks waiting in line there. Yesterday there were 950, which meant a wait of around 12 days for approval, reports the quoted news portal.

The protest on the border with Ukraine has been going on almost continuously since the beginning of November. Polish hauliers and drivers are demanding, among other things, the re-issuance of permits for Ukrainian transport companies.
