HGV bans this December and over the Christmas/New Year period

As usual, over the Christmas and New Year period, there are various different HGV bans in force throughout Europe. In addition, there are HGV bans in 3 European countries on December 8th.

Here are all the details:

December 8th

Austria – from 0.01 to 22.00. The traffic ban applies to tractors with trailers with a DMC above 3.5 t, and trucks and articulated vehicles with a DMC exceeding 7.5 t.

Liechtenstein – from 0.01 to 23.59. Applicable to heavy goods vehicles with a DMC over 3.5 t and sets with a DMC over 5 t.

Italy – from 9.00 to 22.00. Applies to trucks and combinations with a GVW of over 7.5 t.

December 23rd

Croatia – from 15.00 to 23.00. The restriction applies to all vehicles and sets with a DMC above 7.5 t.

December 24th

Austria – from 15.00 to midnight.

Croatia – from 15.00 to 23.00 The restriction applies to all vehicles and sets with a DMC above 7.5 t.

Czech Republic – from 13.00 to 22.00. The ban applies to trucks and sets with a DMC over 7.5 t.

France – from 22.00 to midnight. During this time, vehicles with a GVW exceeding 7.5 t may not be driven on the roads.

Luxembourg – from 21.30 to midnight, a truck ban is in force on all roads in the direction of France. In the direction of Germany, there is also a truck ban on all roads from 23.30 until midnight. Restrictions apply to vehicles with a DMC over 7.5 with or without a trailer.

Slovakia – from 0.01 to 22.00. The ban applies to heavy goods vehicles and sets with a DMC above 7.5 t.

Hungary – from 22.00 to midnight. No traffic for trucks and agricultural tractors with trailers with a DMC over 7.5 t.

December 25th

Austria – from 0.01 to 22.00.

Croatia – from 14.00 to 23.00.

Czech Republic – from 13.00 to 22.00.

France – from 0.01 to 23.59.

Liechtenstein – from 0.01 to 23.59.

Luxembourg – from 0.01 to 22.59 towards France, and from 0.01 to 21.45 as well as 23.30 on roads to Germany.

Germany – from 0.01 to 22.00. Applies to trucks and trailers with a GVW exceeding 7.5 t.

Poland – from 8.00 to 22.00. The ban applies to heavy goods vehicles with a DMC over 12 t.

Slovakia – from 0.01 to 22.00.

Slovenia – from 8.00 to 22.00. The restriction applies to trucks and combinations of vehicles with a DMC exceeding 7.5 t.

Switzerland – from 0.01 to 23.59. The ban applies to trucks with a GVW of over 3.5 t.

Hungary – from 0.01 to 23.59.

Italy – from 09.00 to 22.00.

December 26th

Austria – from 0.01 to 23.59.

Croatia – from 14.00 to 23.59.

Czech Republic – from 13.00 to 22.00.

Liechtenstein – from 0.01 to 23.59.

Luxembourg – from 0.00 to 21.45.

Germany – from 0.01 to 22.00.

Poland – from 08.00 to 22.00.

Slovakia – from 0.01 to 22.00.
