Maersk Africa Region Managing Director joins German logistics provider Leschaco

German logistics provider Leschaco has recently announced key leadership changes with the appointment of Maersk's Africa Region Managing Director David Williams as the new Global Head of Tank Containers and Maximilian Nause as Global Head of Sales, effective 1 January 2024.

David Williams, who held various senior management roles since 1991 in AP Møller – Maersk Group, has joined Leschaco to oversee and drive the strategic initiatives of the company’s tank container operations worldwide, the German logistics service provider announced.

As the Global Head of Tank Container, his responsibilities include collaborating with key stakeholders, managing global teams, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Leschaco’s CEO, Constantin Conrad, expressed his satisfaction with Williams’ appointment, stating,

“We are delighted to welcome David Williams to our leadership team. With him at the helm, we are setting the stage for the successful continuation of our Tank Container story. His global vision, interpersonal skills, and dedication to excellence align perfectly with our values and goals. We believe that this new addition to our Group is an exciting step forward in our journey toward ambitious growth, sustainable success, and operational excellence.”

In his remarks, David Williams commented:

Simultaneously, Maximilian Nause, former Global Head of Tank Container, has assumed the role of Global Head of Sales. Nause, drawing from his understanding of products, services, and customer needs, is set to lead Leschaco’s global sales organization. His responsibilities extend to driving the global implementation and investments of a new sales strategy aimed at further enhancing the sales structure for the benefit of valued customers worldwide.

Constantin Conrad expressed confidence in Maximilian Nause’s ability to lead global sales efforts, stating:
