The new facility in Zabrze will cover more than 30,000 sqm, including over 2,000 sqm dedicated to office space. A spacious warehouse with 9,500 sqm of cross-docking space will be constructed to support food logistics operations. Additional mezzanine space will be allocated for packaging services. The warehouse will feature a temperature control system ranging from 0 to 18 degrees Celsius, ensuring optimal conditions for handling and storing a wide variety of products.
Located in the Silesian agglomeration, home to nearly two million inhabitants, Zabrze offers excellent connectivity to major European transport routes.
“With the new branch, we are not only strengthening our presence in Poland but also creating a key position for the movement of goods throughout Europe. In doing so, we are further developing our network and laying the foundation for even more efficient logistics solutions,” says Carsten Taucke, CEO of Nagel-Group.
Starting in the second half of 2025, 170 employees will begin work at the new facility. This development underscores Nagel-Group’s strategic focus on sustainable and efficient growth in food logistics across Europe.
Additionally, the new Zabrze branch will align with sustainability trends. A 2,500 kWp photovoltaic system installed on the roof will supply a significant portion of the facility’s electricity needs, thereby reducing its carbon footprint. Energy-efficient cooling systems and modern LED lighting will further contribute to reduced power consumption.
