Waberer’s unveils its new sim rig for HGV driver training

Hungarian logistics giant Waberer's has revealed its newly renovated on-site simulator training room, which contains a new sim-rig built around a motion platform.

Writing on LinkedIn, Waberer’s said the room contains “captivating wall decor”, as well as the equipment to enable two colleagues to undergo training simultaneously.

“We take great pride in being the sole freight company in Hungary to provide our drivers with such advanced training resources, enabling them to effectively prepare for the challenges of their profession,” says the well-known Hungarian logistics outfit.

According to Waberer’s, the upgraded simulator system will significantly contribute to the company’s driver training program.

“It [the simulator room] offers aspiring learners the opportunity to test various skills using this sophisticated technology. The system not only covers essential vehicle handling techniques but also allows practicing emergency response procedures and mastering economical driving strategies,” adds Waberer’s.

The logistics company maintains that it is dedicated to elevating the standard of driver education, which it says ensures its team is well-equipped to handle diverse real-world scenarios.
