An increasingly growing shipment volume require investments in the fleet, personnel, and offices. That is why the international courier company GO! Express & Logistics has decided to raise its prices in 2018.

GO! Express & Logistics is an international courier company specialised in express shipment transport, with over twenty years on the market, that operates in over 220 countries. Due to the current market situation, the company has decided to raise its prices in February 2018, by 4.2 percent on average.

As the company emphasises, for 4 years the shipment volume has been growing by at least 10 percent year-on-year.

We are constantly optimising our network to, despite the increasing number of shipments, meet our customers’ expectations while maintaining the same high level of quality. That requires investments,” said Ulrich Nolte, managing director at GO Express & Logistics in Germany, during his conversation with verkehrsrundschau.de.

German economy is blossoming

The Ifo Business Climate Index has gone way up. It represents the rate of growth of German economy in the nearest future.

The Ifo Institute for Economic Research has significantly raised its prognosis for the next year. Recently, the specialists have raised the growth expected for 2018 from 1.8 percent to 2.3 percent. Currently, they are expecting a growth at 2.6 percent. It would be the highest rate since 2011.

Many sectors are growing, from the building industry to trade,” emphasises Timo Wollmershäuser, director of Ifo.

Without a doubt, this will also lead to the transport volume growth which might result in raising the freight prices. The demand for transport services in Germany is already exceeding the supply.
