Carousel Logistics has rolled out a Pick-Up Drop-Off (PUDO) network across the UK and Ireland, offering more than 100 staffed collection points for freight, parcels, and repair items.

The network, now live following a successful pilot, aims to support businesses with field-based staff and engineers who need early and reliable access to parts. Deliveries are made before 08:00 via Carousel’s own network.

Unlike locker-based solutions, the staffed PUDO sites can handle a wider range of parcel sizes and weights, including bulky or complex items often required in maintenance or repair operations.

Using Carousel’s mobile app, engineers can also return items through PUDO sites without pre-printed labels, or redirect shipments to a different location if work is reassigned.

Andrew Whitehead, Head of Network Development for the UK and Ireland, said the service was designed to tackle everyday challenges faced by field engineers.

“By giving engineers early and reliable access to the parts they need, and a simple way to return items without labels, we’re creating a service that directly improves efficiency in the field,” he explained.

Carousel’s new PUDO service is integrated with similar networks operated by its partners across Europe — including DANX in the Nordics and Baltics, Carousel’s Iberia region, and LPR Group in Germany.
