Waberer’s, a Hungarian logistics giant, will be the first company in Europe to test Tesla’s electric truck in long-distance transport.

Arrangements for Semi tests were made during the meeting of Waberer’s bosses (pictured by president Ferenc Lajkó) and representatives of Tesla, which took place this week in California (USA). The managers of the Hungarian company were members of the delegation under the leadership of Mihály Varga, Finance Minister of Hungary.

Waberer’s is not the only company from Central and Eastern Europe to expand its fleet with Elon Muska’s e-truck. The Tesla truck was ordered by Lithuanian company Girteka just after its premiere.

Waberer’s will transport packages for Amazon?

The Hungarian delegation also met with Amazon – the tycoon of the e-commerce market. During the meeting, Amazon representatives tried to determine to what extent Waberer’s could satisfy the transport needs of the company in Europe. Further talks are planned for August. This time the meeting will take place in Europe.
