Flemish Minister of Mobility and Public Works, Lydia Peeters, has announced the provision of financial support to companies that want to invest in electric HGVs, vans and buses.

The ministry is also allocating 5 million euros for charging infrastructure via a call for projects.

“I want to lower the threshold for transporters to invest in electric vehicles. The early believers are essential to help convince other companies,” said Minister Peeters.

The new project call is aimed at heavy freight, private buses and electric vans for zero-emission urban delivery.  The maximum subsidy per project is €300,000.

Applications can be submitted up to and including 31 March 2023.

The call is part of Minister Peeters’ ambition to provide 30,000 extra (CPE) charging points by 2025.
