The country’s Prime Minister, Robert Golob has described the damage as “unimaginable”. He has also been quoted as saying that two-thirds of Slovenia is affected in one way or another.
An update provided by the Slovenian Government on its website yesterday confirmed that heavy rains had caused damage to roads and bridge structures and deposited debris on them. Some bridges have been destroyed and some roads are inaccessible.
