Chat GPT: AI describes Scania V8 drivers and generates cringe song for truckers

You can read this article in 7 minutes

Over the last week or so, there has been widespread media attention concerning OpenAI’s Chat GPT service – a platform that provides answers to questions via a chatbox using artificial intelligence.

Keen to see what all the fuss about, we signed up for the service and gave it a bash ourselves. After a period of testing, conducted amid a time of record demand for service, it was possible to conclude that although there are often errors, when GPT Chat works, it does so frighteningly well.

For example, GPT Chat’s AI was able to provide us with a sensible, comprehensive list of solutions for amending the driver shortage, a balanced piece on how France’s HGV facilities compared to those in the UK, and an analysis on the extent to which some transport companies can benefit from social dumping.

All of the answers were frighteningly well-written and formulated soundly, and came with good punctuation and formatting such a bullet points. Indeed, the technology has even had educational institutions concerned about plagiarism.

Such technology naturally deserves some proper analysis with respect to logistics and supply chain, and we will shall be looking into this in the very near future.

Today, however, solely for the purposes of fun and entertainment, we’ve taken a selection of the random questions and requests that GPT Chat did manage to answer without returning an error message.

These include AI-generated descriptions of Scania V8 drivers, lyrics to a cringeworthy song, and a few other answers to rather light-hearted requests.

Please note that everything written under the line below has been generated by AI and as such cannot always be taken as fact. Moreover, the answers do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the author of this article, or Trans.INFO as a whole.

How much do you agree with the AI? What do you make of the song it made? Let us the know in the comments on our Facebook Page.

Write a song about a lorry driver

Verse 1:

Rollin’ down the highway, behind the wheel

Got my rig and my load, I make it real

I’ve got a job to do, and I do it well

I’m a lorry driver, and this is my story to tell

Chorus:

I’m a lorry driver, haulin’ all the way

I’m a lorry driver, makin’ money every day

I’m a lorry driver, got the world at my feet

I’m a lorry driver, ain’t no life more sweet

Verse 2:

I’ve got my CB radio, and I’m talkin’ to my friends

We’re all out here on the road, till the very end

I’ve got my coffee cup, and my country music on

I’m livin’ my dream, and I’m never alone

Chorus:

I’m a lorry driver, haulin’ all the way

I’m a lorry driver, makin’ money every day

I’m a lorry driver, got the world at my feet

I’m a lorry driver, ain’t no life more sweet

Bridge:

I’ve seen the sunrise, and the sunset too

I’ve been through the storm, and the bright blue

I’ve been on the road, for days and days

But I wouldn’t change it, for all the money in the world today

Chorus:

I’m a lorry driver, haulin’ all the way

I’m a lorry driver, makin’ money every day

I’m a lorry driver, got the world at my feet

I’m a lorry driver, ain’t no life more sweet

Outro:

So if you see me on the road, just give me a wave

I’m livin’ my dream, and I’m proud to say

I’m a lorry driver, haulin’ all the way

I’m a lorry driver, makin’ money every day.

Is driving in sandals a good idea?

No, it is not a good idea to drive in sandals. Sandals do not provide the same level of protection as closed-toe shoes and can easily slip off the pedals, which can be dangerous while driving. It’s always best to wear shoes that fit securely and provide good traction while operating a vehicle.
