The operator of the Mont Blanc tunnel has announced the dates when the tunnel will be closed due to maintenance work. The first closure is tonight.
Maintenance will start today at 22.00 and will last until 6.00 on Tuesday, 19 November. The next complete closure of the Mont Blanc tunnel is scheduled for Monday, 2 December (from 19:00 to 6:00 the next day) and a week later -9 December (from 22:00 to 6:00 the next day).
Drivers can also expect to meet partial night-time closures in the coming weeks when traffic in the tunnel will be moving in one direction only. There will be such partial closures from Tuesday to Thursday, between 19 November and 12 December. Partial closures in one direction will last from half an hour to one and a half hours and will be alternately between 22.30 and 6.
