Sharing the news via LinkedIn, GDL Sjöcontainer described Dania Connect as “a market-leading carrier of shipping containers in Denmark”.

Owned by Frank Hjortekær-Jensen and the private equity fund Blue Equity, Dania Connect recorded a gross profit of DKK 65 million last year. The company has 91 employees and a fleet of 125 trucks.

“This step marks the beginning of an incredibly exciting journey as together we will strengthen our position in the market, expand our reach and continue to deliver the same high quality and value to our customers that they know us for. We will thus continue with business as usual both in terms of personnel, management, operations and business model,” wrote GDL Sjöcontainer AB, on its LinkedIn page.

The Swedish firm added:

“We would like to thank our amazing team, our loyal customers and everyone who has supported us along the way. This new chapter fills us with excitement and we look forward to realizing our common goals in this exciting journey together with Dania Connect!”
