DFDS’ says the acquisition was made in order to develop its own European logistics services.
ICT Logistics has been focused on providing transport solutions between Scandinavia and Eastern Europe, particularly Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Latvia, and Lithuania. DFDS had owned 19.9% of the shares in ICT Logistics from 2006 until its acquisition.
“ICT Logistics greatly improves our offering to customers trading with Eastern Europe. The expansion of our logistics network also complements our Baltic ferry route network,” says Niklas Andersson, Executive Vice President and Head of Logistics Division.
ICT Logistics, based in Herning in Denmark, is currently represented through 12 offices in 8 countries. It offers services including road transport, rail freight, air freight and warehousing, as well as barge and sea transport.
