Founded in 2007 by the de Koker family, DINA Logistics is currently run by Dimitry de Koker and and employs around 100 staff either directly or via subcontractors. The company’s total sales last year amounted to €12 m in 2021.
DINA’s headquarters are located at Ternat, west of Brussels, and the company has 5,000 m² of warehouse space and 32 loading bays.
In a statement, Heppner said that Benelux represented a “strategic perimeter”to its growth ambitions. The company sees DINA Logistics as having a strong presence in Belgium and an “ability to reach all areas of Benelux in 24 hours”. This, combined with Heppner’s own presence in the Netherlands with Hacas, is said to ensure “a high standard of service and sufficient expertise to meet the region’s capacity challenges”.
Offering his thoughts on the deal, Heppner Group CEO Jean-Thomas Schmitt said:
“The integration of DINA Logistic’s business in Heppner is excellent news for customers looking to expand their operations in Benelux. The synergies generated by our respective areas of operational, geographical and technical expertise will become key assets for strengthening our international expertise, offering our customers and partners increasingly personalised services, and leveraging opportunities for future growth.”
Commenting on the sale of his company, Dimitry de Koker added:
“Over the years, we have developed our know-how, innovating in order to offer competitive services aligned as closely as possible with our customers’ needs and compliant with social expectations and environmental demands. I am convinced that our shared expertise with Heppner will generate synergies that will enable us to work even better together.”
Heppner states that DINA Logistics shall continue to operate independently with its network of national partners and shall “benefit from Heppner Group’s international partnerships”.
