Dutch police invite Lorry drivers for a „Coffee with a Cop”

Police in the Netherlands have invited lorry drivers for a coffee as part of their „Coffee with a Cop” campaign.

The initiative is taking place today, Thursday 26th November, at the Hazeldonk East service area along the A16 / E19.

The aim of the scheme is to increase awareness among drivers regarding crimes in the road transport sector, including drug smuggling and cargo theft.

Police officers will approach drivers with a free mug of coffee with a QR code on it.

Once scanned, the code links to a YouTube video on the aforementioned crimes. You can see the video for yourself below:
