The driver of a Fiat Seicento is to be heavily fined after his attempt to carry a load bigger than his vehicle caught the attention of the police.

The incident occured in Poland’s Silesia region last week. As you can see from the photo below, the load the driver tried to transport is actually bigger than the car itself.

The police naturally inspected the vehicle and its load, and found out that the bags on the roof merely contained polystyrene. However, unsurprisingly, officers decided that the manner in which the load was attached to the vehicle endangered the safety of others on the road.

Unfortunately for the driver, this violation of the law was not the only one the police detected. The driver was found to have driven without any insurance, while the Fiat hadn’t passed the Polish equivalent of the MOT test. On top of that, the Seicento driver could not provide his driving licence because the road police had already stripped him of his licence following another violation.

The driver has already been fined for the unsafe load. However, due to his failure to insure the vehicle and his decision to drive despite being banned, he is set to receive further punishment in the shape of administrative penalties.

Of course, had he ordered a courier, all of this would have been avoided.
