Despite the numerous interventions of the French police, the government still cannot cope with the protest of the „yellow vests” against increases in the tax on diesel. Yet another difficult day ahead of drivers traveling to or through France.

The protesters are still blocking fuel depots and major roads in 350 locations, reports the French media. From the morning, the police intervened to disperse the participants of the protest, who after a while return to their positions.

That was the case, for example, near the town of Vaucluse on the A7 motorway, where the protesters blocked the motorway creating a huge traffic jam. Trucks were reported to wait even 24 hours. The police managed to disperse the „yellow vests” and restore traffic, but the demonstrators announced they would return.

On Monday, Interior Minister Christophe Castaner called for compliance with the „free movement principle” and warned that the police would strive to keep the roads open.

The fuel depots in Lespinasse in the Haute-Garonne and Cournon-d’Auvergne near Clermont-Ferrand are still blocked.

Drivers can expect the following roads to be blocked by the „yellow vests”:

– A89 from Lyon to Bordeaux (from east to west) near Arveyres,

– A83 (in both directions) near the village of Sainte-Hermine,

– A11 from Paris towards Nantes (from east to west) near Ancenis,

– A64 (in both directions) near the town of Biron,

– N124 from Toulouse to Langon (direction from east to west) near the towns of Marsan and Auch,

– N88 (in both directions) near Lescure-d’Albigeois,

– N44 from Reims towards Vitry-le-François (direction from north to south) near Vitry-en-Perthois,

– N33 from Saint-Avold towards Germany – Saarlouis (direction from south to north) near Creutzwald,

– N2 from Paris towards Belgium – Mons (direction from south to north) near the city of Chambery,

– N31 (in both directions) near the village of Trosly-Breuil and from Reims to Beauvais (direction from east to west)

– A10 from Paris to Bordeaux (direction from east to west) near Meung-sur-Loire,

– A85 from Angers to Theillay (direction from west to east) Villefranche-sur-Cher.

The map with the full list of roads covered by the protest is available on the Bison Foute website.
