The French gendarmerie has given its officers instructions about inspecting heavy goods vehicles more strictly which will verify how well are the Loi Macron provisions being adhered to.

According to the transport portal cadenadesuministro.es, the French gendarmerie instructed its officers to intensify truck inspections. These measures are supposed to check how carriers apply to Loi Macron which entered into force on 1 July last year.

Officers will be checking whether the drivers have the mandatory documentation required by the regulations on delegated employees.

Loi Macron assumes that drivers who take up international transport and cabotage must have documents on board of the truck confirming, among others, that they receive remuneration of at least the French social minimum level.
