Trucker airlifted to hospital after gas canister cabin explosion

Another lorry driver has had to receive hospital treatment following the use of a gas canister inside the cabin. Fortunately, the truck driver's life is not in danger despite the severity of the explosion, which was caught on CCTV.

According to Dutch road transport website Transport Online, the accident occurred on Saturday evening around 7:30 in the town of Geleen.

The cabin of a truck was completely destroyed after an explosion believed to have been caused by a gas cylinder.

The driver, who was in the cabin at the time, miraculously survived and was airlifted to a nearby hospital. His condition was not life-threatening according to the police.

Photos shared online show the extent of the damage caused by the explosion.

A video uploaded to Facebook also shows CCTV footage that captured the explosion.
