GEODIS has inaugurated a new 23,000 m² logistics platform in Brie-Comte-Robert, Seine-et-Marne, marking the third hub for its Distribution & Express division in the Île-de-France region. The new site complements existing hubs in Bonneuil-sur-Marne and Gennevilliers.

The facility, which became operational in mid-January, consolidates two previous sites in Melun and Collégien. It includes a 16,000 m² parcel handling hall with 200 docking doors, as well as a 5,000 m² storage unit designed for local logistics operations.

Additionally, it offers extensive parking facilities, including 15 spaces for heavy trucks, 60 waiting areas for semi-trailers, 12 tractor parking spaces, and 180 parking spots for employees.

Located at the crossroads of major European highways (A4, A5, and A6), the hub is situated 30 minutes from Orly Airport and 40 minutes from Paris.

“This modern industrial tool will allow us to cover the southern Île-de-France region both commercially and operationally. With this proximity, GEODIS will strengthen its presence and reduce delivery times across the territory,” said Gilles Decher, managing director of GEODIS Distribution & Express.

The facility aligns with the company’s sustainability priorities. It was built to meet BREEAM “Very Good” and BiodiverCity “Excellent” certifications. Equipped with over 3,800 photovoltaic panels and 925 LED lights controlled by an intelligent centralised management system, the hub is expected to cut energy consumption by 75%, saving 330,000 kWh annually.
