Germany learns from the Dutch police. Special truck inspections to be expected.

Dutch services are testing various methods to increase road safety. Among other things, they control roads from quite unusual vehicles. Now the German police follow their example.

A German policeman decided to keep order on the roads from a camper. This method is used by the Dutch to capture truck and bus drivers using a telephone while driving. 

Apart from the obvious element of surprise, this type of vehicle guarantees police officers a larger field of view and allows them to see what would be invisible from a regular passenger car. 

A policeman sitting in the back of the motorhome registers drivers by phone. If an offence is suspected, the motorhome overtakes the driver and stops for inspection by displaying „POLIZEI, STOP” on the LED board at the rear of the vehicle. 

The officers you will see in the video below keep an average of 30 drivers daily for inspection:
