Germany’s Sunday truck bans back in force as of July 1st

Germany’s truck driving bans on Sundays and public holidays are to apply again in the country from July 1st.

The truck bans had been suspended during the coronavirus crisis, but will expire on June 30th.

In addition, according to Germany’s Holiday Travel Ordinance, on Saturdays in July and August 2021, the driving ban for trucks over 7.5 t GVW and trucks with trailers for commercial or paid transport of goods, including empty trips, will apply again.

The Federal Office for Goods Transport (BAG) has confirmed the above information on its website.
