Road Police operating in France’s Bouches du Rhône region spotted an unlikely infringement during routine checks on the A7 motorway a fortnight ago. At the Sénas rest stop, the Gendarmerie spotted a porno being filmed in the picnic area. Those involved in the scene will now be prosecuted for “sexual exhibition”, which could lead to a fine as high as €15,000 or even a maximum of one year in prison.

The bizarre story may appear like fake news. However, the Gendarmerie confirmed the incident on its Facebook Page last Friday:

This was an uncompromising misdemeanor witnessed by officers of the Salon-de-Provence highway squad. While patrolling to monitor the A7 highway rest areas as part of the fight against freight crimes, they found a film shoot was underway. A makeup artist, cameraman, and a couple of actors were gathered around a picnic table, but it wasn’t a meal that was sought by these protagonists who later defined themselves as libertines! The realization of this fantasy could cost these amateur actors, who were planning to host their work on a famous adult film platform: they will be prosecuted for sexual exhibition.

According to French Television station France 3, the people behind the amateur porn shoot had decided to film at the Sénas rest stop after finding out it had been closed for renovation.

The incident, which unfolded in broad daylight, resulted in the two ‚actors’ being charged with “sexual exhibition”. The maximum punishment they could receive is a €15,000 fine or one year in prison. The makeup artist and cameraman will not face charges.
