The agreement, which began in 2011 in Italy and 2017 in the Netherlands, involves managing operations including logistics services, quality control, value-added services, and tax operations linked to imports and exports.
In Italy, GXO operates a bonded dedicated site for omnichannel logistics services, while in the Netherlands, a bonded warehouse handles clothing imports and exports. The company has optimized its operations with automated solutions like ProGlove scanners, garment sorters, parcel sorters, and auto-inducting machines. GXO plans to introduce Automated Goods Vehicles in the Netherlands in the coming months.
Additionally, GXO and Guess have launched an initiative to use eco-friendly packaging to reduce waste and implemented measures such as LED lighting, increased landfill diversion, and a direct staffing model in Italy.
