Designed with the help of a Swedish guitarist from the In Flames heavy metal band, the special edition of the Volvo FH16 750 – Swedish Metal – is looking for a new owner. You can buy it through the Tradera.com auction service. Part of the revenue from the sale of the truck will be donated to an educational campaign to help children understand how to behave safely in road traffic.
The truck was manufactured and tuned last year in Gothenburg. Until now, it has been used as a display vehicle by Volvo Trucks. It even appeared at a Swedish rock festival. It is registered in Sweden and has a mileage of 10,200 km. How does it differ from the regular model FH16 750? First of all, there is the original cabin finish.
Outside, the upper part of the cabin is covered with black leather-like vinyl. The bottom is decorated with a print depicting a tangle of cables. Inside, door panels, seats and curtains bear the In Flames logo and various heavy metal symbols.
In the cab of the Swedish Metal, there is also a white Björn Gelotte’s guitar with his autograph. And the tuned audio system from Onkyo will give you a lot of fun listening to music on the road.
The truck auction will end on September 20th at noon. Before the weekend, the price offered was already at the level of more than €56,000. With the purchase of the vehicle, the buyer will also receive a unique music experience – a personal ticket to all In Flames concerts around the world next year. And 20% of the money will be used to support the ‘Stop, Look, Wave’ project, which teaches children to behave safely on the road.
