The company’s inaugural Irish branch is located at Dublin Airport and will serve as the hub for providing a comprehensive product portfolio, including air and sea freight, overland transportation, and customs clearance services.
This move into the Irish market follows Hellmann’s recent establishment of national companies in Switzerland, Slovakia, and Italy, aligning with the company’s strategic growth initiatives.
Ireland, with its robust economic development, has become a pivotal player in the European and global markets. Hellmann’s entry into this market is underscored by the strong leadership of General Director Mrs. Niamh Savage.
The company aims to capitalize on synergies between Ireland and the UK, where Hellmann has had a longstanding presence. The strategic focus will be on key industries, particularly the economically robust and time-sensitive pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, along with the electronics industry.
Jens Tarnowski, Regional CEO West Europe at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, expressed enthusiasm about the new venture, stating, “The opening of our new national company in the Republic of Ireland is another important milestone in our growth strategy towards a comprehensive European network. On this basis, we can guarantee our customers a wide range of services from a single source. Furthermore, we are delighted to have gained an industry expert for Hellmann in Ireland: Mrs. Niamh Savage. Together with her team, she will expand our presence in Ireland. In this way, we want to open up new local markets even better and make Ireland a strong player in the global Hellmann network.”
