Ireland's train operator, Iarnród Éireann, has expressed its frustration at 3 “dumb truckers" who hit 2 bridges and 1 level between them in just 1 hour. The accidents caused delays of up to 30 mins for rail passengers.

Irish Rail made the outburst on Twitter, explaining that all of the accidents involved trucks and occurred within a 1 hour period on Wednesday.

Besides branding the three lorry drivers dumb, Ireland’s rail operator also said the truckers were guilty of reckless driving.

According to reports in the local media, nobody was injured in any of the accidents.

When asked by a Twitter user if there would be any consequences for the drivers involved, Iarnród Éireann responded:

“When a motorist is involved with striking a bridge/damaging a level crossing, all details that we have available are passed onto the Gardai and prosecuted under road traffic legislation, and we may also pursue the driver for the cost of the damage.”
