Lannutti Group, an Italian transport and logistics company, has ordered 1,000 new fuel-efficient Volvo FH  trucks after carrying out a year-long fuel test.

Operating in eight European countries with a total commercial vehicle fleet of 1,800, the Lannutti Group put in place a comprehensive year-long fuel test comparing the new Volvo FH to other trucks in a mixed fleet. According to the result, the aforementioned Volvo engine saved 10% more fuel than an equivalent standard truck with a Euro 6 Step C engine.

“The fleet renewal principle for us at Lannutti Group is to prioritise low emission vehicles. Apart from reliability, the most important factors for us are to keep the weight of the truck as low as possible to allow for a high payload and keep the fuel consumption to a minimum,” says Valter Lannutti, CEO at Lannutti Group.

The order of 1,000 new Volvo FH with I-Save trucks will be delivered during 2021 and 2022.
