IVECO has recently unveiled its revamped product range and service offerings to its customers, dealers, partners, and international press at a launch event held in Barcelona, Spain.
The company announced it is expanding its product offering ”to encompass multiple energy sources, providing sustainable and profitable solutions tailored to diverse business needs”. With a dedicated manufacturing hub in Ulm, Germany, IVECO has accelerated the development of its electric vehicle lineup, investing a record-breaking 1-billion-euros in the complete renewal of its product range.
One of the changes is that the vehicles now feature a digital dashboard equipped with a 10-inch display, delivering comprehensive information about the vehicle, the screen is customizable to meet individual preferences. Additionally, there is an optional 12-inch dashboard display available, offering full configurability and seamless integration with the Infotainment system. The interface for the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) and complete integration with the Infotainment system ensure transparent presentation of information, effectively reducing the cognitive load on the driver.
Additionally, the IVECO Way range has introduced Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), representing what the company deems ”a significant advancement in safety and driving comfort”.
At the highest level, this driver assistance system aids in long-distance transportation tasks. The Highway Assist feature assists the driver in keeping the vehicle centered within the lane, utilizing the camera, Active Steering, and capacitive Hands-off Detection to detect and correct steering deviations. There is also the Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go function (ACC+Stop&Go) which maintains a preset speed, ensures a safe following distance from the vehicle ahead, and automatically halts and resumes the vehicle in traffic jams.
In 2019, we started a new journey, driving a profound evolution in IVECO by keeping our eyes focused on the customer and tailoring our offering to their needs, throughout the vehicle’s lifecycle and beyond. We worked hard and fast, humbled by the trust that our customers placed in us, and today, we are opening a new chapter in our history. With the full range 2024 launch, we demonstrate our capacity to fearlessly move forward and fight in our customers’ corner, supporting their success with a 360-degree mobility ecosystem, the choice of the technology that best suits their needs across all segments, and the most extensive service offer.” said Luca Sra, President, Truck Business Unit, Iveco Group
The company claims that it is actively supporting its customers in transitioning to zero-emission mobility through dedicated eMobility services that are strategically designed to facilitate the adoption of electric vehicles, aiming to enhance productivity, reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and optimize both the vehicle’s range and energy efficiency.
One notable initiative is the Green & Advanced Transport Ecosystem (GATE), an innovative pay-per-use business model specifically tailored for the long-term rental of eco-friendly commercial vehicles. GATE aims to provide customers with a “peace of mind” solution for accessing electric mobility seamlessly.
