These vehicles will enable quiet deliveries and significantly reduce exhaust emissions in low-emission zones in city centres where the carrier operates.

They will also allow the transport company to stay ahead of European regulations that aim for zero CO2 emissions from all new cars and commercial vehicles in Europe by 2035.

VIR has added 40 Iveco eDailys to its home delivery fleet, operating primarily in the Paris region, with additional coverage in Bordeaux and Salon-de-Provence. Each vehicle will cover an average of 150 km per day, returning to a base where its batteries will be charged overnight.

VIR by JP has opted for a 23-cubic-metre chassis cab. The vehicles are powered by three batteries, providing a range of up to 330 km. With an electric motor delivering up to 140 kW (190 hp) and a torque of up to 400 Nm, the eDaily is highly responsive and enjoyable to drive. Initial feedback from VIR drivers has been extremely positive, highlighting ease of use, comfort, and excellent handling.
