JUNA orders 30 heavy-duty electric trucks from Scania

The expansion comes as JUNA experiences increasing demand for its services, which focus on reducing the environmental impact of road logistics. Since its inception in 2023, the company has grown rapidly, deploying electric trucks for major European brands. With the addition of the new Scania trucks, JUNA’s fleet will total over 50 electric vehicles operating across four European markets, positioning it as one of the largest electric truck fleets in the region.

The newly ordered Scania lorries are designed for regional transport; each truck is capable of towing up to 46 tonnes and has a range of up to 500 kilometres on a single charge.

The vehicles aim to provide reliable, efficient, and environmentally friendly transport for some of Europe’s largest shippers.

“Expanding our fleet with these advanced electric trucks is a significant step in our journey to revolutionise road logistics. Our pay-per-use model has proven to align with carrier demand, showing that electric trucks can meet the performance and reliability standards expected in the freight industry,” said Matteo Oberto, CEO of JUNA.

Christian Levin, CEO of Scania, added:

“Our collaboration with sennder through JUNA exemplifies our shared vision for a sustainable future in transport. The deployment of these new trucks is a testament to our collective efforts to drive the shift towards a sustainable transport system.”
