Independent Humber haulier acquired by Latvian logistics firm

Latvian road transport and logistics company Kreiss SIA has announced the acquisition of Humber-based haulage firm C Neil Dowson for an undisclosed fee.

C Neil Dowson sports a yard near the Port of Immingham as well as a fleet of tractor units, skeletal trailers and forklifts.

The deal will allow Kreiss to acquire a new base in Britain and grow its operations abroad.

In a press release, Sergejs Zalizko, director of Kreiss, said:

Kreiss, which dates back to 1994, has grown from being a one-truck haulier to having offices in 6 countries and a fleet of 2,000 trucks and trailers. The company has 2,400 employees on its books and has an annual turnover surpassing £260 million.
