Police officers in Bavaria have issued a ban to a lorry that was found to have two out of its six brake discs broken as well as brake pads completely missing. The driver of the vehicle was also fined.

The lorry was pulled over by police officers last Friday in Wendelstein, Bavaria, during routine checks. When the officers checked the vehicle’s roadworthiness, they noticed some significant shortcomings in the braking system.

According to a police statement, two of the vehicle’s six brake discs were broken – only fragments of them could be seen. The brake pads on these wheels were also completely missing. Moreover, on the other two wheels, the brakes were so worn that metal was meeting metal when the driver was braking.

Unsurprisingly, the vehicle was ordered off the road until all of its defects are repaired. In addition, the driver had to pay a security deposit for an undisclosed fee.
