New secured lorry park with cafe and sanitary facilities open near Newcastle

It has escaped our attention that a new lorry park opened near Newcastle a couple of months ago. By the lorry park's own omission, it has taken a while for word to get around about the facility. However, the SNAP parking venue now appears to be filling up.

Named Sandylane Truck Parc, the facility opened in February and has a Greggs Cafe and Shell Petrol station on site.

The lorry park also has toilets and showers available round the clock as well as a TV Room. The area is secured with lighting, fencing and CCTV.

In addition, Sandylane truckparc’s website says there is a dining area with “a wide choice of on-site food options”.

The lorry park is located just off the A1 junction 79 and is less than 5 minutes away from the A19. Its postcode is NE3 5HE and its What3words location is froze.desks.piano.
