The electric pickup truck created by American start-up Nikola has 100 miles more range than Cybertruck.

This week Nikola presented the Badger pickup truck concept. The vehicle is more like a traditional pickup truck than Tesla’s Cybertruck, looking like some means of transport from a postapocalyptic movie. The manufacturer, like in its large-scale trucks, has opted for a combination of hydrogen and electric drive. Badger is powered by hydrogen, which is converted into energy used to drive its electric motor.

The start-up from Arizona will also equip Badger with a set of batteries, thanks to which the vehicle will have a range of up to 300 miles (approx. 480 km). By pressing one button, drivers will be able to switch between electric and hydrogen driving modes.

Just as impressive as the range is the Badger’s acceleration. The vehicle will go from 0 to 100 km/h in just over 3.2 seconds and the engine will generate over 900 hp. Badger is to be presented at the Nikola World 2020 event in the American city of Phoenix. The event is planned for September.
