In the first half of the year, Posten Bring AS reported a turnover of NOK 11,922 million, showing an increase of NOK 471 million compared to the same period in 2022. However, the adjusted operating profit for the same period decreased by NOK 59 million to NOK 229 million. The B2C parcel volume from ecommerce experienced a 10 percent increase over the past 12 months.

CEO Tone Wille mentioned that the company achieved greater growth in parcels from online shopping than the rest of the market, especially in second hand and private trade from online portals. Despite market unrest and cost growth, the company implemented operational adjustments to enhance cost efficiency and productivity.

The logistics business generated a turnover of NOK 9,477 million in the first half of the year, indicating an increase of NOK 330 million from the previous year. Parcel volume increased by 8.6 percent compared to the same period in 2022. The business market for #parcels also experienced growth of 5.8 percent. Adjusted operating profit for this segment was NOK 296 million, reflecting a reduction of NOK 111 million.

In the postal segment, turnover increased by NOK 105 million. Addressed and unaddressed mail volumes declined by 11.5 percent and 11.2 percent respectively, while the Norgespakken showed positive growth of 20.2 percent. Adjusted operating profit for the Post segment was NOK 34 million, reflecting a NOK 47 million increase.

Delivery quality was at the level of 91.9 percent of addressed mail being delivered within three days.

Key figures for the 2nd quarter of 2023 showed operating income of NOK 5,995 million, adjusted operating profit of NOK 122 million, and operating profit (EBIT) of NOK 121 million.

For the 1st half of 2023, key figures included operating income of NOK 11,922 million, adjusted operating profit of NOK 229 million, and operating profit (EBIT) of NOK 227 million. The equity ratio was 30.8 percent, return on invested capital (ROIC) was 3.1 percent.
