project44 becomes 1st real-time visibility provider for Google’s Supply Chain Twin solution

Well known supply chain visibility provider project44 has announced a new partnership with Google Cloud, a tie-up which it says shall provide customers with better, real-time visibility into their supply chains.

In agreeing to the partnership, project44 has become the first strategic partner for real-time transportation visibility to integrate its capabilities into Google Cloud’s Supply Chain Twin solution.

In a statement, both parties said the deal shall provide joint customers with “a view into the supply chain network, including data across all modes, existing integrations at scale, and strong relationships with other partners included in the offering.”

Google says it Cloud supply chain solutions, particularly the Supply Chain Twin, deliver end-to-end visibility by bringing together data from various business systems such as enterprise resource planning (ERP), transportation management systems (TMS), and warehouse management systems (WMS), as well as data from the operational systems of the customer and those of their partners.

This, together with the increased transportation visibility and reporting provided by project44, is said to provide customers with visibility into data relating to shipments once they have left suppliers, as well as when inventory is moving between warehouses and manufacturing plants, and into customers’ hands.

Hans Thalbauer, managing director of global supply chain and logistics industry solutions for Google Cloud, complemented project44’s expertise when talking about the partnership:
