Flexxtra operates as a “warehouse-as-a-service” model, offering businesses on-demand storage space on a pallet-by-pallet basis. This allows companies to scale their storage needs up or down quickly in response to market fluctuations, without the long-term commitment of traditional warehouse leases.
The service is designed to be a convenient and streamlined solution, with Prologis UK handling all operational responsibilities. Customers will benefit from a “turnkey” approach, including inbound goods receipt, insurance, and outbound fulfilment, managed by a team of specialists.
Flexxtra is located at a new Prologis UK warehouse in Wellingborough, with a capacity of 70,000 pallets. The location is strategically positioned between London and the Midlands, offering easy access to major transport hubs, including the Port of Felixstowe, a key gateway for UK imports.
Prologis UK has partnered with established logistics companies to deliver the Flexxtra service. Visku, a supply chain solutions provider, will oversee day-to-day customer management, while Kinaxia Logistics, a leading logistics group, will manage operations on-site.
