Rhenus Warehousing Solutions has announced an extended partnership with Blue Yonder to standardise its warehouse management systems globally. Blue Yonder’s Warehouse Management solution will be gradually implemented across Rhenus’ operations, which span over 180 sites in more than 20 countries. The collaboration aims to create a unified, efficient, and flexible IT landscape to better serve customers.
The Blue Yonder Warehouse Management solution, known for its configurability and interoperability, will enable Rhenus to address specific customer requirements efficiently without the need for extensive new developments. By implementing preconfigured modules tailored to various industries, the company seeks to optimise resource use and accelerate global standardisation.
The partnership includes the establishment of a Blue Yonder competence centre, which will focus on developing and implementing these preconfigured modules. Initial projects have already demonstrated progress in creating a standardised and flexible global warehouse management solution.
Markus Sandbrink, Chief Information Officer of the Rhenus Group, commented:
“With Blue Yonder, we are building an IT infrastructure that optimises our global business processes while ensuring the security and performance of our systems. By harmonising this infrastructure, we are strengthening cooperation between all our sites and offering our business partners a reliable basis for their core business.”
According to Rhenus Warehousing Solutions CEO Ronny Sassen, the partnership is a strategic move to enhance competitiveness and meet diverse customer needs.
“With the global expansion of Blue Yonder, we are creating a robust and flexible foundation for the future of our warehouse management,” he said.
