The clothing supplier C&A is now using the expertise of Rhenus Warehousing Solutions at the Hückelhoven location to consolidate and deconsolidate its goods. These reach Hückelhoven via sea freight, among other things. The location acts as a central hub for Europe and serves all European distribution centers, according to a press release.
The logistics centre has a hall area of 120,000 square metres and is located near the Dutch border and important transport hubs.
In the multi-user system, Rhenus serves the e-commerce, electronics & high-tech, industrial, consumer goods, pharmaceutical & healthcare and retail & fashion sectors.

Nagel-Group opens multi-temp system
Meanwhile, the Nagel-Group has put a new multi-temp system into operation in Schweitenkirchen, about 40 kilometers north of Munich. The new cold storage halls offer space for 13,200 pallets. The Nagel Group has invested 40 million euros in the further development of the system.
“The logistics center in Schweitenkirchen is of great importance for the south of Germany and the connection to Austria,” says Marion Nagel, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nagel Group.
The new facility enables customers to offer logistics solutions in all temperature ranges, from storage to transshipment and transport as well as value added services.
At the beginning of June, the Nagel Group also had the Expansion of their logistics location in Nuremberg completed. The multi-temp system there is now equipped with an automated high-bay warehouse, photovoltaic systems and storage capacities for all temperature ranges.
