With a total of 135 electric trucks, Simon Loos will soon have the largest electric fleet in the Netherlands. The company has been a long-standing partner of Daimler Truck Nederland and has been instrumental in the development of the eActros 600.

The eActros 600 is a long-haul electric truck with a range of up to 500 kilometres. It is equipped with a powerful battery pack that can be charged at up to 400 kW. Simon Loos will also be preparing its trucks for future megawatt charging, which could reduce charging times to less than half an hour.

“The eActros 600 is a game-changer,” said Simon Loos fleet manager Wim Roks. “We’re making a huge leap forward in integrating electric transport into our operations.”

Simon Loos has been testing the eActros 600 since this summer and has been impressed with its performance. The company is now training its employees to drive electric trucks and has partnered with the Central Bureau for Driving Licences to offer specialized training.
